Shopify New York is dead doing
For every 1,000 New York residents, four are Shopify business owners; with over 27,000 of those New Yorkers deciding to open a Shopify store in 2020. We partnered with Shopify to create a physical space for these resilient merchants and entrepreneurs to connect, collaborate, and accelerate their growth through community.
Working with the Shopify Spaces team to construct a physical, inspiring environment that resonates with the NY merchant community, we created a unique identity for Shopify New York that reflected the city’s energy and culture. To drive awareness for the new space, we developed a campaign inspired by the infamous NY Post op-ed claiming “New York City is dead forever.” Highlighting Shopify merchants from all five boroughs, we demonstrated that the city is not only not dead but doing a whole lot.
